AIR VALVES

AIR VALVES

Valve type that is connected to the pipeline from only one side, that has a body end free to the atmosphere, which has a ball inside, that can float. Valves that automatically let air out of or into a liquid carrying pipe when the internal air/gas pressure drops below or rises above atmospheric pressure, preventing liquid outflow from the line. Air valves can be categorized into two main groups:

Kinetic (Single Chamber) Air Valve

Air valve type that realizes two main functions; when the system is filled, discharges large quantities of air from the system, and when the system is drained, intakes large quantities of air to the system.

Dynamic (Double Chamber) Air Valve

Air valve type that realizes three main functions; when the system is filled, discharges large quantities of air from the system, when the system is drained, intakes large quantities of air to the system, and when the system is pressurized, discharges pressurized air pockets from the system.
