BLOCK AND BLEED
The capability of obtaining a seal across the upstream and downstream seat rings of a valve when the body pressure is bled off to atmosphere thru blow down valves or vent plugs. Useful in testing for integrity of seat seals and in accomplishing minor repairs under pressure.
